You will not find W2 information that old from the IRS, the only thing you can do is contact the Social Security Administration to get a record of earnings, The IRS only keeps the past 10 yr records.

You could call your employer from then, but they aren't required to keep them back that far so probably won't have them available.
The IRS request for transcript form says they may be able to provide W-2's for the last 10 years, so you're probably out of luck there.
About the only thing is to go back through your old records at home and see if you can turn them up.
Are you sure you really need them?

I am a tax preparer and I have no idea why you would need w-2s that old. If a refund is involved you won't get any after three years. But, the best shot would be IRS. They probably still have copies of them in the computer. If not, I doubt employers would keep them that long.

Why do you need W-2's that old? Did you not file taxes those years?
Call your employers for those years. That's the only way you will get them. If your employers cannot or will not supply them, and you have your last check stub for the year, you can file an amended W-2.

Why? Those are so old that unless you have records I doubt you will be able to get them. The companies wouldn't have to still retain then since they are past the statute of limitations.
