You turn on the tv and there's all these lotions potions and pills. There's hair color, plastic surgery, make up...even clothes that are supposed to make you seem more youthful. Do we fear aging that much? I myself am 30 years old...just for reference.

I'm 43 and yes, there are times when I feel I am too old or that I should do something to myself to deny the aging process. What has happeded to growing old gracefully? I read a quote recently (I wish I could remember by whom) that said "Genes give you the face you have at 20. You have to merit the face you have at 50" (Was it Coco Chanel?). I have earned every last wrinkle on my face (there aren't many) and I am proud of my smile lines.

Apparently, but I kind of admire people who chose to age gracefully and not try ever product under the sun to look like a 20 year old. I mean an older woman trying to get rid of crow's feet or a "gizzard" is one thing, but a 60 year old woman(who definitely looks her age) in tight clothing that's meant for the "younger crowd" is just plain creepy.

It's seems to be youth obsessed in the entertainment world, but sometimes late bloomers slip through the cracks and become famous.
