Its just another way to poke the eye of the modern single. Like the free trips to Vegas on late night tv. "Couples only" for 2nd honeymoon visits. The scum. Not everyone has a spouse or a freakin' "soulmate". Does this make us less valuable in the eyes of businesses and travel groups? Is our coin less shiny than that of the beautiful people? Apparently so. Perhaps singles should avoid these couple preferring businesses for a while. Lone wolves unite!!
Yeah, kinda hate it.

I never had a boyfriend in high school but I didn't "hate" valentines day. I don't think anyday should be defined by what you get but what you do. Why don't you give a valentine to someone,it does't have to be a guy. It could be a friend,a teacher or an elderly person who has lost someone

No. It's just like any other day. Why should it bother you more that you are single on February 14th than on, say, June 10th? Oh yeah...it's because the greeting card companies tell you that you are worthless if you don't have love in your life on February 14th. Well, don't listen to them- they just want your money. It's stupid to base your self-esteem off of what greedy card companies say.

After being married for 10 yrs. I don't love it or hate it, it's just another day to us.
Don't worry about the guys & do your school work , get a good education & then worry about the guys afterwards.

I do, but not for the same reasons you do. I hate it because it's a greeting card holiday that socially forces us to put a price tag on our feelings.
What ever happened to a simple "I love you?"

I hear ya! It's just a stupid day filled with over priced greeting cards. It's just like any other day, except more depressing...

Yes, I didn't get any flowers only candy, which is ok since I like candy better, but EVERYBODY had at least one flower so I was a little sad...
