What's better a 'C' in AP American History or an A in regular American History? What would the college be looking for, grade or course... or both?

And what kind of extra curriculars should I attend?

If you want to go into corporate law, go to a school with a good undergrad business program.

Law schools are looking primarily at grades and LSAT score. The could care less what the major is.

For corporate law, you're dealing with major clients. They want lawyers that went to prestigious schools. The law firms want to hire kids who went to top law schools and have business backgrounds.

So, you want to go to a top college where you can get a high gpa in a business related major. Stanford and the Ivies are notorious for grade inflation. Versus, say another top school like Berkeley where there isn't as much grade inflation (altho the business classes there are a lot easier than, say, the science classes there).

You also need the extra currics and letters of rec.

In undergraduate, it really does not matter what college you go for law as long as you study law at that university you want to go to. But i hear boston university is great for law.
