Is your community prone to natural or manmade disaster? Is your social and physical infrastructure in good enough shape for evacuation and response (roads, bridges, hospitals, public transportation, refrigeration, trained emergency responders, etc.)? If not, what is being done about it? Are you taking an active role, or is it someone else's job? Just curious to see how folks respond to this...

yes very well aware.
Hurricanes hit here.Florida.
We get phone calls from the Sheriffs office,
We are alerted by sirens
We have the sheriffs control going by and announcing what is happening to what part of the town, city.
we are alerted to evacuate if necessary and where to go and what route to take.

I'm from Calif., & live in Fla.,now.
W.,coast has earthquakes, E.,coast Hurricanes.
Earthquakes we get no warning. Hurricanes we do.
So be prepared,have a plan, for escape, and then survival.
