This site has many memory techniques. You can read them over and choose the best way for the things that you need to remember. http://www.mindtools.com/memory.html

There is the link method, the method of Loci, the alphabet system... you can make sentences from the first letter of each item that you need to remember. Kids use that to remember muscial notes; Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. You can make up your own or create a word that uses the first letter of each item.

You can make notecards and use repetition. Check out the site. I hope it helps.

"make funny jokes abou it..to memorize it"

That's a pretty good point. If you attach an emotion to something, or a memory of something else, it's much easier to remember. For example, if I told you to remember the numbers 0149162536496481100, and you tried to memorize them simply by rote, it might be a little bit tougher than noticing that the numbers are squares of integers that increase by 1 each time: 0 1 4 9 16 25... which would make it much easier to remember. Jokes inspire intense emotion and are very useful for memorization, as are other mnemonics like Kings play cards on fat green stools. Hope that helps...
