The advisors at the college I atend said that I could be a nursery manager, professional landscaper, and many other things lant related if I major in Ag. Business and minor in Horticulture. Can you name some more plant related jobs please? I am more interested in my minor than I am my major, but Horticulture is only offered as a minor at the college I wanted to attend so I am minoring in it. And a lot of the Ag Business classes compliment the Horticulture classes so they work well together.

Ornamental horticulture and design, as either interior or exterior landscaping, is a growing field! (No pun intended!) It's like architecture with plants!

Think of the big atriums you see in malls, in the lobbies and courtyards of corporate and government buildings. This is all interior landscaping.

In a career like this, you will get your hands dirty, you'll often have to carry huge trees and ornamentals in buckets, and you'll be working in many environments. While in school, you'll need to study plant diseases, and learn as much as you can about non-native plants as well as native ones.

After you graduate, if you start out with a good company, you could rise up the ladder, and eventually leave to start your own business, if you're very motivated.

I hope you find something you love!

If you don't mind working in a lab, botany is possible, as is agricultural engineering. The landscaping sounds like a good idea nowadays; think about making some interesting garden designs and submitting them to magazines if you're good at it. I have a lot of respect for people who find the good in plants; the things quite frankly disgust me.
