On Broadway, it has to be "The Phantom of the Opera." Great acting, music, sets, direction. Just the right amount of intrigue, romance, and bittersweet plot.

I last saw 'Fanny and ******' at the Finborough Theatre in London. It's a piece of new writing by Jack Thorpe (has written episodes of Shameless and Skins) about the child murderer Mary Bell, and fascinating stuff. Enjoyable's probably the wrong word to describe the show, but it was certainly funny - black comedy, and it managed to portray Mary in a really three-dimensional light. Very thought-provoking. If you can catch it before it sells out (I think this is the last week), then I highly recmmend it!

A Christmas Story by a youth acting troupe. It was awesome! Those kids were great - it's wonderful to see such talent in young people. The little kid who played Ralphie was perfect (albeit a twang, which didn't sound right). The play was basically an adaptation of the entire movie - including the infamous tongue to flagpole, oh fudge, leg lamp, and you'll shoot your eye out scenes! But there were scenes that were added. The only negative comment I could give was that it ran around 2 1/2 hours long (including intermission time). But I didn't really notice the time - I was having too much fun!!

I saw a good friend of mine in a production of Eugene O'Neill's "A Moon for the Misbegotten" at the North Coast Repertory Theatre in San Diego. It was excellent; the two male leads were both terrific.

I saw Mitchell and Webb, they were brilliant! Really very funny and even better was the improvisation when things started to go wrong. It was a nice reminder that local theatres can offer decent entertainment, not everything happens just in London.

Broadway: The Lion King; it was AWESOME! It cried I loved it so much!!!
Community: It's a Wonderful Life; It was really good! I enjoyed the stage version, and I thought it was very well casted.
School: The Bethlehem Project; It wasn't very good. There weren't enough mics and you could only hear one or two of the people (one of them being the director's daughter, a lead, and I think maybe a couple of cameo roles).
Movies: (even though that would be spelled t-h-e-a-t-e-r, not t-h-e-a-t-r-e) Night at the Museum; It was okay. I liked it alright, but I got bored at times...

I think some people think you meant the cinema. Hehe. I saw Thoroughly Modern Millie and I really enjoyed it. It was kind of along the same lines as How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. There were all these dancing with little typewriter desk scenes just like in How to Succeed.

"A Night at the Museum". Although, it's definitely not an Academy award winning film, it was good. Very cute. My girlfriend and I took are 2 kids to see it. Normally, the 3 year old gets antsy at the movies, but he was very into this one.
