I have this stupid project that is due tomorrow.
We have to create something out of thee following items;
1 paper cup
1 small paper plate
1 foot of yarn
3 toothpicks
1 plastic spoon
1 straw

I have no clues at all of what to make. Any suggestions AT ALL would be appreciated!

use the yarn, cup and plate
cut a hole in the bottom of the cup and middle of the paper plate just barely big enough for the yarn to pass through...run one end of the yarn through the cup and tie a knot so it is inside the cup. Run the other end through the paper plate so that the top of the plate (the side you would eat off of) is facing the bottom of the cup and tie a knot in the yarn after you pass it through the hole. Drop the cup from some height and it should be light enough for the paper plate to slow the fall creating a sort of parachute for the cup.

I suggest you cut the paper cup/plate and make it into a geometric design with the yarn and toothpicks as fasteners. Maybe make it into a mask with the cup functioning as ears after being cut in half and the spoon functioning as a tongue, the straw cut up into hair? The design should probably work. If you'd like something practical, get rid of the yarn and put the cup on the plate with the spoon and toothpicks beside it. Put the straw in the cup; you now have a complete serving tray. How's THAT for innovation?

How about a miniature x-mas tree. The base would be the plate. The tree is the paper cup. The ornaments are pieces of the straw maybe as candy cane. Use the yarn to make it all look nice. You can make a cheap angel out of the spoon. Use the toothpicks as arms or wings.

Take the yarn tie it up like a noose, bring the paper cup and plate for the last meal and tell your teacher it's a death sentence?

With the paper plate and the cup, make a UFO. Suspend it from the yarn.
