You can't really predict something like that. My son was head down when I went in to have him and at some point while I was in labor he turned butt down. The doctor even commented one time when she checked me how much hair he had. Nobody even knew he turned until the rushed me in to do an emergency c-section because I was fully dialated and efaced but nothing was happening and I never had an urge to push. Turns out he was not even in the birth canal and once they did the c-section they discovered it was due to the fact that he had turned while I was in labor. Your baby could turn next week but that doesn't mean he cannot turn back.

To encourage the baby to get in to the right position, get on the floor on all fours and do pelvic tilts. Consult a book for the right way to do this. You draw up your abdomen and then slowly come back down. You should do this several times a day for 10 or 15 minutes.
However, you are very early at 24 weeks to be worrying about the baby's position, since there is still PLENTY of room for the baby to turn about. I am surprised your doctor even mentioned it.

I wouldnt stress myself to much. When I went in with my 1st for the ultrasound I was 28 weeks and she was in a breech presentation. After them explaining that I may have to have a Ceserian I got scared, and started to stress. That is the worst thing for the baby. When I went back to the Doctor 2 weeks later she was still breech. That night when I went to bed I was talking to my husband about my concerns and felt the movement in my stomach that made me feel weird. The following week we was told that she had flipped and could be born vaginally. You still have plenty of time for the baby to change positions. They will keep an eye on you, and let you know if anything changes if by chance you dont feel it yourself. Best of Luck

Relax - 24wks is still really really early. At 24wks my baby was still doing somersaults! There is still plenty of room and plenty of time. I'm 31wks and its only recently that baby has turned! And (if i know my child) i'll bet anything that my hyperactive child will turn again before the week is out before again returning to the head down poistion!

You are still really early. Doctors won't be concerned until you are 38 weeks. My middle daughter turned breech at 28 weeks and stayed that way. But alot of people's babies have turned at 38/39 weeks. So I wouldn't even worry about it.
