I love this name personally, and it is a good name. Watch out, though, if you don't like it to be shortened to "Liz" - make that clear to people right away. (Sorry, I really dislike the name Liz. . . )

I really like the name Elizabeth. It allows itself to many middle name choices. I love the name Elizabeth Rose. Be sure you know which nicknname you'll want people to use though otherwise you could end up with a lot of different things.

I just got a new granddaughter last June and her name is Erin Elizabeth and I love it. Not a name to ever be ashamed of or teased over. I think for a nick name Beth or Bethy is so cute until she is a bit older You are on the right track. Good luck!

Elizabeth runs in my family. Mainly first names but I used it as my daughters middle name. Its a good strong name for a female.

I think Elizabeth is a great name. It's a classic but at the same time it's not as common as it used to be so there won't be dozens of them in your daughters class. Plus it has tons of nick name possibilities so your daughter won't be restricted.

I love the name Elizabeth!! My g'ma's name is Elizabeth and she goes by Betty. My mom's name is Elizabeth Ann and she goes by Annie. My oldest daughter's name is Emma Elizabeth. They skipped me, but I wish they hadn't. I would love to be Elizabeth-though I would go by the whole name. :)

I love it, personally.

Elizabeth is old fashion brittish mixed with classy modern. It can also be shortened to "Liz" "Lizzie" "Elle" or "Eli"

It also reminds me of "Just Like Heaven" with Reese Witherspoon as Elizabeth.
