Shops with incense oils may have your "pure" peppermint oil. Specialty shops like homeopathic medicine, wiccan, and even some "craft" stores will also carry this. Or you can go online and chance purchasing it online and having it shipped to you. Please remember though, not all sites are totally secure, it is Your risk.
Good luck.

You should be able to buy it from baking section in grocery store. Have u tried the electronic plug in repellents? I live in the country and use in my house. They work very well. Don't bother your
inside pets at all. These can be purchased at Lowe's or the Home Depot. They range in price from about $8 to $40. G-Luck!

Just about anywhere sells this great item...I have personally purchased it from...
Walmart (see in vitamin section or crafts)
Health food stores
Walgreen's
Pharmacies
On the Internet
At many craft stores like Hobby Lobby
P.S. Don't forget that peppermint oil can stain your clothes if the cotton ball touches them. I put mine in baby food jars with holes punched in the lids.
P.S.S. Mothballs work well on rodents too. Spread some around the outside and underside of your house to keep them gone.
P.S.S.S. What are you using for trap bait? Peanut butter works the best hands down. Just don't put it on thick...The mice are really smart and will figure out how to eat the bait without tripping the trap.
Good luck! :D
