I'm currently in college and yesterday I fell off my skateboard at medium speed. I sprained my left ankle REALLY REALL bad and there was immediately a HUGE lump in my ankle. I went immediately to the clinic at my college and they took x-rays. The guy who looked at the x-rays said there was no bone fractures at all.

Today, I woke up this morning, and my lump was gone! My foot no longer hurt and I could even walk on it (with some pain, of course).

But this morning, my doctor called me and told me to go back to the clinic. Then he told me there was actually a fracture on my ankle. Then he told me there was a previous fracture on my ankle that I had a long time ago. That, of course, is false because I've NEVER had a fracture before this. He is now referring me to another doctor who will take a look at my foot.

Should I believe him? I mean, if it really was fractured, then why did my black lump heal in 24 hours? Why did my feet stop hurting?

Get another opinion. I fractured my ankle last year and my whole foot turned black even around the toes. I think that Dr is whacked.

I say that your ankle will heal with the help of itself if it is been a week or 2, yet in view this is has been 3 years, i think of that it would be suited to bypass see your physician, until eventually now it gets any worse. I fractured my ankle some 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in the past, however the soreness and swelling went away after some week. I in basic terms save putting ice on it and soaking it in epson salt usually. yet, certainly, i might incredibly advise going to work out the physician at this cutting-edge time.

What would be his motivation for lying to you? Go to the other doctor and get his opinion also. Just because you don't remember a fracture in your ankle doesn't mean you didn't have one. Many fractures are very slight and will heal without the aid of a cast. One apparently showed up on your x-ray. Why don't you believe him?

It never hurts to get another opinion from someone other than the doctor you're being reffered to. About three weeks ago, I hurt my wrist. The doctor I went to said that nothing was wrong and sent me home. But it still hurt really bad, so we went back for a second opinion and it turned out that it really was broken...and badly. I'm actually typing this with a cast on my arm....so, yea, a second opinion is probably a good idea.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

If it doesn't hurt it prolly isn't fractured..forget going to another dr, just take it easy for a few days..no boarding for a week.. You don't want to stretch any tendons and what not.. take a break and see how you feel. If in a week there is no discomfort, carry on.
