Conventional war fighting will never defeat guerilla tactics. The "insurgents" (chuckle) defending their own land, will never give up. While they may "take a break" every once and again, they always come back to continue their efforts. Even a first semester student at west point knows this, eh? The Russians lost, big time. Just like the French and the U.S. in Viet Nam. And many other "european" colonizers elsewhere. Including France in Algeria and (in process) the U.S. and its allies in the middle east. (hopefully, however, Israel will survive). Btw, why not ask yourself who really profits from all this war. While you're mulling it over, google "bush crime family", and see just where and how these psychopaths got their "start". ;-)

Afghanistan is often refered to by former soldiers of the red army as the equivalent of thier vietnam. at least that's what they tell me.
guess that's why our Gov't is in Iraq for oil and not in afghanistan where we belong hunting Bin Laden.
