As everyone has said, you didn't touch yourself so you didn't break the promise, however as a fellow Christian a way i've found to helping me cope is to not partake in situations that make it hard for me, whether watching movies with nudity or seeing certain types of images b/c it's like taking fire into your chest. Also, keep praying everyday that GOD will provide ways of help and escape with each trial you find yourself in.

Everybody feels bad about masturbating at first. It is not a sin. It is natural. And orgasisms are related to neurosensory stimulation and physical touching. Which is why you can ejaculate when your sleeping.
Dont deprive yourself. If masturbation is a sin, then isnt any type of self-pleasing, like eating something that is satisfying, itching yourself, etc. Plus, if masterbation is a sin, then who isnt going to hell. You could be doing worse things to appease the most primitive urge you have as a human. What do you think God would like more - you and a Penthouse for a half hour together, or you and a hooker, a married women, an underage person, the list goes on and on. Masterbation is an excellent way to combat these urges from making you do something stupid or dangerous.
Dont stop. God gave us hands, lube and the dirty channel for a reason. Dont disappoint..

first of all, I think that masturbating to cartoon porn would qualify as idol worship. I used to masturbate myself, this went on for many days until I thought to myself, why do I need to do this, Why am I worrying, God will give me someone better than what I could ever imagine, all I have to do is wait. Now it has been three months since I stopped and I will never regret changing. 1 Thessalonians 4:4-6 (New International Version, ©2011) that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. If you believe and have faith, God can help you stop in no time. Philippians 4:13 (New International Version, ©2011) I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Matthew 17:20 (New International Version, ©2011) He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

The wet dream you had that occurred along with your ejaculation was all part of a physical process that is built in to every normal human male. This will occur with or without the dream on a routine basis and is needed for good health. It is part of the design and the plan. It has nothing to do with sin and does not involve lust. This does not break your agreement with God. He made your body to work like this to keep it healthy. As long as you do not masturbate this process will occur on its own every week or so.

The problem with your situation is a misinterpretation of the scripture. I am aware of the "spilling your seed in a sinful nature" thing. Read it over carefully because it does not refer to masturbation. Masturbation is still a taboo topic and most health professionals don't even want to address the issue. Yet it makes more sense than unprotected sex or abstinence???
The key is to approach the issue with the mindset of everything must be done in moderation. Compulsive behavior ruling every aspect of your life, including interfering with normal daily functions is a sin. Premarital sex is also a sin according to scripture. But it is more socially acceptable.
I am sorry you feel guilty about it. There is no way around it because it is natural and healthy. Remember, refusing the existance of the holy spirit aka "blasphemy" is the only sin you cannot be forgiven of.

That's a nice promise, but you will not be able to keep it and you will just make yourself feel bad. Instead of promising to quit masturbasting, promise God not to look at gross pornography on the internet while you do it. It's not that masturbating thats so bad, its what you think of. If you masturbate too much, you won't be interested in that girl smiling at you either. So, a little bit is okay, but don't overdo and don't let it get in the way of reading your Bible and praying. God knows whats it like to be a teenager.

Well..... I suggest you not make promises that you cannot keep. .... that goes for everyone and to everyone. A promise to God is the ultimate of promises. I suggest you have a talk with God and ask for consideration in this matter. In case you didn't know masterbating is not a sin and I don't know where you got the idea that it was. Below is the answer that was given in answers before. It was a very good answer and I have given it to you to help you feel better I hope. Read all of it.

As you've found, a penis does NOT need to be touched to ejaculate.
Its unhealthy for your body to sit on sperm for too long, so if you don't masturbate, it will fire it off at night.
I can't recall anywhere in the bible where God clearly tells people not to masturbate. For a long time, people referred to the story of Onan, but Onan's sin was clearly not masturbation (in fact, if that's what he'd been doing, it would have solved the problem). Onan was supposed to be having sex with his sister in law to impregnate her, but he was pulling out before ejaculation so that he could keep sleeping with her without her getting pregnant. That would be sinful.

There's a lot of other things you could do that God would be a little more worried about than touching your penis. The whole masturbation thing was made up by the church, the same that tends to molest young boys, the Catholic Church. The biggest atrocity in the name of God. I wouldn't worry about it. I would be more worried about obeying the 10 commandments than not masturbating.

dont feel bad you didnt actually masturbate. wet dreams happen b/c you havent ejaculated in a while. a man is supposed to ejaculate every 2-3 days to get rid of sperm and make new ones, its bad for your reproductive system if you dont. so jacking off isnt that bad, i mean its good for your body, but if you feel bad about it dont do it.
