What do you think about Sylvia Browne?

I'm not sure about her. She doesn't seem truthful, kinda like she's fishing for information. Just curious.

Its called cold reading if it is conjuring a spirit or 'reading' a person. Long term, global predictions is guessing or analitic research. ooo wait....sometime this week ...has a D in it...a violent act....sand everywhere. ooohh ...fire... the victim is a stranger to the area.

The 'vision' above seems focused on Iraq, but not entirely. When is the last time we've gone a week without some bruhah involving an explosion or fire? Every day has a D in it. Violence...well thats all that makes the news. Sand? The whole of the middle-east, every beach in the world, the American Southwest, the African Sahara, the Gobi desert in China. A bomb, an accident, some nut-job sets a building on fire. And a stranger... could be a tourist, soldier on foreign detail, as long as a witness doesn't know the vic...he's a stranger. Anyone can be a psychic. Investors call it trend research. Their job is predicting weather, harvests, and the like. She hit a couple big ones and got a rep doing the Montel and Oprah shows.

A few details and a lot of generalization. Thats how its done. Didn't she pick Gore to take the White House?

Honestly, I think she is a fake - I use to adore her, all about Sylvia - but she has said a few things that make me think she is just crafty - she always uses general terms and gets sort of defensive if somebody actually acts like she is not being specific enough. First off, she said that JFK Jr. was going to be president in 2008 - But guess what? He died years ago in an airplane accident. Also, she told the parents of the boy kidnapped by the lunatic pedophile Devlin that their son was dead. Nope, I don't believe her anymore. Just watch John Edwards and they are like night and day. John really knows his stuff.

Hopefully her credibility with the public is ruined and her career will be over after her little stunt where she said those boys who were found alive in Missourri were dead. Sadly though there will probably always be enough stupid people for her and others like her to steal their money. There truly is a sucker born every minute.

Oh, she is being truthful alright. Basically, just repeating back what the people tell her. She does fish for information. I think its shameful how she preys upon the grief of others and give them false hope. Reading up on psychology books and human behavior books, any one can do what she is doing. Thats just my opinion.

I think she's a phony. She told the family of the missing boy that was just recovered that she saw him dead. From what I've heard she's given families wrong information before. I don't believe in Psychic abilities though so that may color my view of her and others like her.

fake, there is no humility about her. when I've encountered people who can sense what most of us cant, there is an unmistakable humility about them. Sylvia Browne is harsh in the worst way.

I think she has a problem with interpreting what she sees sometimes. It's like that for me, I cannot interpret what I see and feel. I only get these feelings when something really bad is going to happen. They always prove right, but don't tell me what it is.
