I used to have a 04 Acura TL and now have a G35 sedan simply because it is a much better car. For the same price as a TL type-s, you can have a G35 X (AWD) with all the tech goods you'd find in the Acura. The G35 X is better handling, faster, better in the snow, and (IMO) better looking than the TL. While I certainly liked my TL and would agree that you can't go wrong with either of them, I would have to say that the G is a better car by far.

If you want a coupe, then the G35 coupe is the only option between these two, but assuming you're looking for a sedan, priced with options the acura tl is cheaper then the g35. If you live somewhere where bad weather is an issue then the rear wheel drive of the g35 will be an issue. The G35X is way more then the Acura TL priced with options. In my opinion the Acura TL looks a whole lot better then the G35 sedan. Also if you get inside a TL you'll notice how spacious it is, it's very nice. The interior of the TL is nicer, and you're getting the dependability and quality of a Honda made car. All around winner

I would take the 2007 Acura TL Type-S over the G35. The G35 is the center of everyone's talks while the Acura isn't.

i used to work at acura for a couple of years. when i asked people why they bought a tl instead of g35 they said that it was a better deal for the money. although the g35 may initially be cheaper, once you add all the options that you get with an acura, you'll usually end up paying more.

as far as performance wise, they are pretty even. it's nice having rear wheel drive in the g35, but sometimes it can be a hassle.

good luck

I am a manager for a car rental company and have been extremely pleased with the G35. I will be honest, I have not drivin an Acura so I can't say whether it's good or bad. I do know the G35 is a little bit less, so you can use the extra money to get more options on it.

G35X, no question.

I test drove both. The handling of the TL is like any other front-drive car--mediocre. I felt like the TL was simply the world's best equipped Civic. There was nothing specifically wrong with it; the overall experience was just bland and kind of Camry-esque.

The G35X drives like a rear-driver and has the security of 4WD for better handling. The sound of the exhaust is sublime. You'll drive around with the windows down just to hear it.

G35 definitely. Unless it's a sedan. The G sedans are stupid.
