I agree with it. People generally say that power makes people do stupid things, and that can be the case sometimes. But most of the time when people are represented with power, it brings out who they truly are and shows their true colors because it's in their reach to become who they really are.

I hope that makes some kinda sense. It probably makes better sense in my mind then actually typed out.

Power is going to take its own course, depending on the person. Just as love, hate, anger, happiness, and other emotions are presented with different intensities and different reactions, power will do the same. In some, power may corrupt, while in others it may reveal character, heart, etc. You also have to look at the level of power. While power in one person, in small amounts may not do much, too much of it may lead to a "power-hungry" streak, and end up in corruption. There are so many variables that have to be taken into consideration. Like any statement, it will be both true and untrue in different situations. One statement cannot be completely black or white.

Yes.

People with power have more freedom (opportunities) to act the way they want to act. They act the way they want to more often. This reveals what they want to do. Whether it be nice or not nice.

There are people that have power that are not corrupt.

Power both reveals and corrupts. It is not either or.

I believe it can do both....it depends upon the character of the person with the power...and upon their intentions.
