I'm guessing that you are in 9th grade. You could use the "This is a new school and I have to adapt" excuse. Promise them better grades next quarter but you have to make an effort. It's not over yet so try harder.

Christopher, first do you have the papers at home of your work? If so, tell your parents you need to discuss a "wake-up call" you received and what you're going to do about it. Show them the papers with the marks you got on the To Kill a Mockingbird project. However, it cannot be that project alone that did you in. Let them know you were not (fill in the blank here as to what happened to cause you to not do well)... and that you will ensure that doesn't happen again.
As proof, show an e-mail or letter to your teacher that you wrote saying you are ready for the next project -- and requesting an extra credit project. It won't help the past grade but it could ensure a high average this marking period to raise your GPA.
Let your parents know you will stay after school working on this project and actually do it. If they believe that you are sincere (and if you are!) the D may be punishment enough. If it isn't, accept their consequence they'll give you and STILL do the work.
Good luck!

I am sorry that you did poorly on your English exam or paper. However nobody can help you unless you ask for it. It sounds like you are concerned and genuinely want to make this right and improve your grade. Make an appointment or speak with your teacher after class about the grade. Express that you know you did poorly and would like to improve and are willing to do extra work and take his/her advice on how to bring up your grade. After you have spoken to your teacher you will be able to have some information to tell your parents. When you speak to them and let them know your plan to get back on track, they will appreciate that you spoke to your teacher and are taking the steps to correct it. You might want to ask for their help in studying or reading, or in finding a tutor. Good luck!

Ask them what the chances are of them loaning you the money to pay for your gfs abortion. When they get past that, tell them you were only curious, you don't need their money, you just got a bad grade in English Lit.

Be honest, but when you tell them, also share your plan about how you are going to bring your grade up. Be prepared for some consequences. Also, meet with that teacher before you tell your parents so you can tell your mom and dad that you have spoken with the teacher as well about what to do to bring up that grade.
Good luck

Just say it as fast as you can, this will give you a couple of minutes until they assimilate the news. Don't forget to explain all the details, make them feel how sorry you are ... sometimes it helps
good luck!

prepare a sturdy excuse in the event that they are too strict. A white lie will do it. permit the certainty stay interior the realm of the Arch type. no one is attracted to what he or she does not p.c. to pay attention. basically enable them to comprehend what they'd pay attention without panicking.

You can tell them exactly as you now told the world.
Ask your teacher for more work. Ask your teacher for help.
Ask your teacher - to recommend another student who can help you.
Then tell your parents that you contacted your teacher for help.
Expect the discipline that they give you, and tell them it was your fault and that you will succeed - even though you made this horrible mistake.
Now get to it!
teachers now have emails by district - and you could email your own teacher for help.
GOD bless us always.
