All teens have the right to make their own decisions. It is better to be safe then sorry... Please tell your friend that she can go to Planned Parenthood or any county clinic. They offer free services to teens and young women. She can get free pregnancy tests, birth control, counceling, and emergency contraceptives. If in case she does get pregnant they will also help with prenatal care and hospital fees. If your friend is afraid of her parents finding out, these above mentioned programs keep your name and information confident. They are not allowed to tell anyone that you came to the clinic or release any information unless you give them permission. They are actually a really great program. I hope everything goes well with your friend. Great job for looking out for her.

Emergency contraceptives is not what your looking for...an emergeny contraceptive is the morning after pill, taken with in 48 hrs of unprotected sex...But you can find birth control in the same place, any free health clinic or planned parenthood, check local listings....Birth control pill and even the patch are not effictive until one full cycle on the medication...They will most likey give her the pill. She need to use a condom no matter what! They are also available at planned parenthood.

It's so good that you want to help your friend!
Have you asked her, though, if she's mature enough to have sex, why isn't she mature enough to take these precautions herself? And why isn't the boyfriend taking a shared responsibility in this?
Have you asked yourself: In my desire to help my friend, am I really helping? Another way you might help is to tell her that you love her as your friend, and you will still be her friend regardless of what she decides, but you do not support her in this decision.
If she's contemplating becoming sexually active without protection, then here's the straight up deal: She's not ready to have sex. Period.

Planned Parenthood or the local health dept. Your friend also needs to know that not only can she get pregnant, but she is setting herself up for STD's. (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) Why is she in such a rush to have sex........at 15? Sex doesn't get good until your older anyway, at least in your early 20s.

15 year olds aren't mature enough to be sexually active. Go to a mini-mart and buy some rubbers, you can't get anything else on a whim.

Why would she need an emergency contraceptive if she is "planning" on having sex? Use a condom!

Planned Parenthood. She better get some condoms. I would be more worried about STD's than pregnancy.

You mean the instant abortion? or the day after pill? all the same. I think you have to get it for her or she has to be 18. Different in different states. Why don't the chick learn how to use a condom the right way?

The only emergency she should look for - is for her brain!
She needs help - not protection.
If she, or you, are not 18 or married - then do NOT even think about sex!
