Where do you take off your shoes?

In your house do you take your shoes off? Do you make people take thier shoes off?

I always take off my shoes
I ask people coming into my house to remove their shoes
I was raised to respect others property

wearing shoes in the house brings in dirt and crud onto the floors and carpet.. YUCK

I tend to take my shoes off by the door, or by the place that I store them. I have a puppy that chews shoes, more so if you are wearing them because he thinks you are going to leave. I have a pair of shoes I keep by the back door for when I let the dogs out and I take them off there because I 'know' that I steped in something there. I have some for just the front yard and yard work while my leaving the house shoes are kepted in a high place. I don't make people take off thier shoes because they don't like to stay too long with the dogs around, I let them choose.

I take off my shoes in the hallway outside my door. I don't want all the snow and salt and slush in my apartment. I'm in my socks before I even unlock the door at this time of year.

if you have children you have to keep your shoes off to avoid all the unnecessary filthiness from the outside world. You can't totally block it but this is the least you can do. And it feels so nice when your house is clean and fresh, isn't it?

I take my shoes off as soon as I get in the door! I hate wearing shoes in the house! I don"t ask my guests to that would be rude! What if they have stinky feet or a hole in their socks???

We take ours off in the mud room, as soon as we come home, but I don't ask my guest to do that, unless it's hubbies hunting friends with mud and dirt!
