I know a person who is changing for the better, she used to be loud, crass, a very strong personality always had to be the center of attention, she would also monopolize the whole converdations when talking to people and be very hyperactive as well. I know this person well because this person was me about a year ago and I have changed a lot thank God.

My question is this how can I continue to change for the better and contine to grow and mature, what is the best godly way to cultivate a gentle spirit ?see 2 Timothy 2:24

Keep praying and asking God to direct your thoughts, your words, your actions. Get in the Word and make sure you are lining up with scripture. Make friends with a mentor who is strong in those characteristics (an accountability buddy).
Realize, that on one hand you have to be willing, but you must be willing to yield to the work of the Potter.
Oswald Chambers once wrote
"Transact business on the grounds of Redemption and then leave yourself resolutely there."
What does this mean? It means that the grace of God is not a "self" improvement course.
And wow am I ever still at the beginning of understanding and grasping that, sister!
God Bless, You are in my prayers!

Make it a habit to take the time each day to really think about how you handled each situation that day. I do this all the time. I think through the situations, put myself in "the other persons shoes", and if possible, I always search for the better way I could've handled something. Good luck and keep up the great work!!

I know a person who is changing for the better. She used to be shy and withdrawn, afraid to talk to anyone for fear of being ridiculed. I know this person well because this person was me 15 years ago and I have changed a lot thanks be to God.

Keep praying about the change you want to see in your life. Keep studying the scriptures to see what Jesus was like and he will change you into who He wants you to be.

By beholding we become changed! 2 Corinthians 3:18

Congratulations on finding "the Way".

Look at what you want to be, look at what you are and continue to work towards what you want to be. Be honest with yourself because it is easy to lie to ones self. We are experts at minimization and justification.
