Depending on which state you reside, you may file unemployment, but you must claim the earned income for that week up to a specified amount per state, which will result in deduction from your weekly gross amount paid by the state in question. By working an additional job for a pittance, you possibly can extend your unemployment benefits until your maximum has been disbursed. Also, you must have been employed over a certain amount of time in order to be eligible for unemployment.

yeah you can still file. Since you have a part time job it till take a little bit away from how much you make on unemployment.

You will be able to receive reduced unemployment benefits. Because you are no longer working full time, apply for unemployment, make sure you are honest about the part time job (they will find out eventually and you will owe them money back, besides possibly being prosecuted for fraud), and they will determine how much you are eligible for.

Unemployment is suppose to cover the time that you are not working at all. So, I would not file since you are working.
