I will be studying in London here soon and I'm doing research on small hole in the wall places to eat, tour, look around, etc. to save as much money as possible but still get a great exp.

If you could recommend places, websites, books, etc. that would be wonderful.

Thanks.

i guess as you are doing research the museums are good even though they are not in the hole, many including the science museum, the natural history museum, the british museum and victoria and albert museum are all FREE!!. My personal favourite cafe is 'La cafe Delight' in Caledonian Road,Islington. Also if you get a chance (and the money)-there is a delicious restuaurant on Roman Way in Islington called 'Roman Cafe Bistro'.Also Kensal Rise has some fantastic places to eat.
In Willesden(Inside the Willesden Library building),North West London, is a small but interesting museum about the surrounding area throughout the past which is fab!!

p.s. enjoy london

For a unique - kinda hippy-ish - spot - check out Neal's Yard near Covent Garden.... it's a small square with stores selling alternative products and several open air cafes - mostly vegetarian! On the same vibe make sure you head up to Camden Market in "The Stables".

Hope you enjoy!
