Depends.. are you mobile? Do you go to school? Do you plan on developing huge programs? Are you at home more than you are outside?
One advantage about desktop is they are powerful and less expensive than laptops of the same performance level. Also they are easily upgraded or easy to troubleshoot. Laptops on the other hand are very mobile. Home, Work etc. Could take it on the road and do work away from the office, they are really nice but rarely can be upgraded without having to change the whole motherboard.
Well i dont have time to type all day so good luck.

I have both. It really all depends on what you are trying to do.

I can surf and type on the laptop, but I wouldn't edit video on it, even though I do use it to teach with.
My desktop is where I can do everything and not worry about running out of space or memory. I just can't take it outside easily.

Good and bad points for both, it really depends on what you are going to do with it, and how much you want to pay.

depends. I have both but I use my laptop a college and when I am at home I use my desktop. It really depends on where you would use it. If you like the freedom of not being in the same room all of the time when you are doing something I would recommend a laptop.

What are you going to do with the computer? If you are a business person and travel then laptop. Gaming though go with a desktop.

A laptop is more portable and custamizable, but the one situation this portable laptop causes is security. Some PC desktops provide more power but a PC is space consuming and its security level is lower than the laptop's.

A laptop. You will regret buying a desktop. they can both get stolen but a laptop can be well hidden.

You can't bring a desktop to work/school/trips/ect.

A laptop can fold. lol

Definetly a laptop. They are much more convinent. I have a laptop, and, let me tell you, they are the best. Whenever I want to show some one something on my computer, I just take it over to them. I can take my computer on vacation...to school...so, go with the laptop!

For light usage and convenience, laptop is better.
For heavy usage, desktop is better.
