Previous question - Which problem will be solved first homoseuality or racism! I believe that we have a long way to go with both. But if i had to choose which one we made the most progress in i would say racism because us black people are no longer slaves. Even though i feel we have not made any major progress since the slaves were freed!
Now what i am asking is do you believe society will accept homosexuality first or do you believe that issues with racism will be solved first. I am not combining the two i am only asking your opinion on the progression in sexual discrimination and racial discrimination.I am not complaining about slavery i am only stating that i feel no major major progression has been made since then. Some good progession has been made but nothing major.
Someone stated that a lot of white people had helped with the freeing of the slaves. I know that and that is not what i am asking for in an answer! I asking on your opinion on progression not a history lesson!

I think the problem of racism will be solved first.
Race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, and national origin are all federally protected classes; but not sexual orientation. People can be fired from their job, denied housing, denied hospital visitation, & forced to pay inheritance taxes on a jointly owned home when a partner dies because they are gay.
Although racism still exists, it is not sanctioned by the government and individuals who are racist are usually viewed as ignorant and backward. Gay people are discriminated against by both individuals and the government, and people who dislike gay people often are elected to office by saying that they will work against gay people.

It's a tough question..because America has such terrible racial issues...really the answers and questions that I see on this site amaze me....both causes continue to progress..but I think that racial problems are more severe for the simple fact that you are not as invisible as I am as a gay man. I think however that racism will win...my criteria for this: I think you could more easily have a black president than an openly gay one.

Okay....now this question i can answer. Why would society accept racism?? Now on homosexuality....society will get better & better with this as yrs go by. Or at least i hope so.

homosexuality would be first b/c its in every religion,( wether theres few or many there are) religion would be second b/c of the fact theres so many and it takes some getting used to especially when their spread out over the whole world, i think both are slowly becomming more accepted

Dude...you asked a good question. Actually there are some very bitchy people (yes gays can be bitchy too) who tore your question apart, due to their "inner anger".
I think sexual discrimination will continue to decline, while racial discrimination increases. IMHO
People suck.. What can I say?
