Well, it's so bad that the lame excuse that it was meant to be satirical doesn't wash because of the subject matter and the way it was written. You'd think that in this day and age that people would realize where the line is drawn between humor and bad taste. I've heard that this is the kind of thing one would find in Hustler magazine. To err is human and I think these folks will soon find out what a grievous error has been made.

The author was the editor of that section of the University Newspaper. He was in fact fired if you read one of the very last sections of the comments.
I have lived in Connecticut my entire life. The University in question Central Connecticut State University has always had a negative reputation for one thing or another. At one time, although students might like it, it was considered the best "party" school in the county. It probably still has somewhat of a rep. for that name.
The author was totally irresponsible. Central is located in New Britian, CT. not a "posh" area of Connecticut. Just outside some very "posh" areas though. It has many hard working people and I am sure both the University and the New Britian Police have had their share of Sexual Assault cases in New Britian.
If that MORON who wrote the satire knew anything he would also know that in CONNECTICUT there is no such thing as RAPE. In the CONNECTICUT PENAL CODE IT IS SEXUAL ASSAULT in varying degrees. I would hope he experiences all degrees possible by law and maybe even not on the books yet, but that would just make me him.
As far as the pregnancy/abortion issue it does prove the original this comment about rape was not satire. However, I will leave my opinions aside for now as I tend to think in some situations a father does have some rights.

I'm glad that I'm not subscribed to the "Recorder"
shocking. How can a disturbing article of that nature was published in the first place.
No wander all the feminists are protesting & demanding the closure of the newspaper.

Sick, I agree with you. Even if it was meant as a joke, it should not get printed.
