That would be a Centaur. It is pronounced as sin-tar. Almost as if they were two different words. If you want to see an example of this creature, you should either watch Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone or the Chronicles of Narnia. The bottom half is a horse while the top half (from the torso up) would be human.

Most of the people gave you the right answer. It 's a Centaur.

Not Hillary Clinton (I am a Republican but I would never be so disrespectful to Mrs. Clinton, our former First Lady).

Not a Minotaur, although it is similar, it is not the correct answer. Of course, it is of humans to make mistakes.

That must be an interesting homework you have there.

there are many mythological creatures that consist of humans and animals. I think that you are thinking of a Centaur. Pegasus is not half man and half horse, he is just a horse with wings. One of the most famous Centaurs is Chiron Hercules' teacher. Hope this helps!

They are centaurs. They are the party animals of Greek myths. They were known to worship the wine god Bacchus, drink heavily and ravage women.

The exception being Chiron, who is the zodiac constellation Sagittarius. He was a kind and educated tutor to Theseus and Achilles.

BTW, satyrs are half man, half goat, like Puck in "Midsummer Night's Dream".
