I have an 89 Camaro that has trouble starting. After i drive for more than about 10 minutes then turn the car off and try to turn it back on it wont start. When i turn the key i dont even hear the starter clicking. Ive replaced the battery, starter, and alternator but it hasnt fixed the problem if any one has any ideas it would be very helpful. Thanks - Nick

could be heat soak to the starter, bad battery cables or a faulty ignition switch.

You have 2 wires going to the starter. One is the big cable from the battery. It should have 12 volts going to the starter all the time. Key on or off. The other smaller wire is the one that comes from the ignition switch by way of the neutral safety switch. This wire should be hot (12 volts) when the key is in the crank position. You can connect a test light to this circuit while the car won't start and see if there is voltage making it to the starter solenoid.
If you do have voltage it means that you probably put a dud starter on. If you don't have voltage it could mean that you have a bad ignition switch or a neutral safety switch.
Good luck!

if you turn it off and turn it back on immediatly and it wont start i have no idea what could cause that but the alternator , or the starter. If you leave it for more than an hour or two, I would suspect something that was wired wrong and is always on, so turn you car off, and go around ans look for something that is still on. such as lights, any stereo equipment, any clicking sounds that might be a pump or something. try that see if you find something

Have you looked at connections going to any of the parts you replaced? Maybe you have a bad battery cable or something small like that.
