This is a make-up I've done to a friend. Please check the photos of her BEFORE the make-up and the ones with the make-up and tell me what do you think of my work, is it good? :)

I forgot to mention. This make-up was done ONLY for the club, you would never go to school with this kind of make-up. It also takes special concealer techniques so that CLUB lights absorb propertly. I couldn't take my camera to the club so I have no photos from there. If only you could see how gorgeous she looked there!

Looks like two very different people. She does look better with makeup but the eyeshadow and lipstick clash too much. Was she heading out to amateur night?

Granted she does look better with the makeup, the shades aren't right for her skin tone/hair/eye color. The lipstick is too dark and makes her look washed out. She is too mature looking for the shimmery-white color you put in the corners of her eyes and right under her brows. A shimmer is okay, but it should be more subtle on someone of her maturity. Maybe a shimmery champagne color? And the dark shadow, should not be dark gray. I realise that it says it's party makeup, so it's not meant to be subtle, but the color is just not right. The shadow should be a bold black or a bold dark brown. Also, her eyeliner should be more defined for the look you were going for. Also, a little bronzer instead of blush would look a little better. Also, her brows could use as little light brown shading in them. The foundation is awesome, you have the application for everything right, I just think it's the colors that are off. It's a little 80's looking. It is good work though, good job.

You have done an alright job but I have to agree with the other comments about the lip colour. I think that the colour looked too old for her, she needed a fresh, younger colour or you could have used a reddish liner and then clear gloss.
I can see that with her eyes you have tried to do the cat's eye look but you needed to blend the point of the cats eye in and soften it using a lighter blue/grey or neutral shimmer. You also needed to use more black inside of her upper lid, underneath the lashes and going in towards her inner eyes near the tear ducts.
Other than that it is pretty good, but you could probably use a foundation that is a little bit darker- especially in night clubs, a slightly darker foundation with a bronzer or shimmer looks nice.
Good luck with your work

Starting from base...you did a great job on the cover-up. I did not like the eye shadow at all...I prefer a look that accentuates and shows the beauty of the features rather than seeing the make-up on the face. Also, she has a naturally thin upper lip, highlighting the upper lip would expand the visual of her mouth.

I think the lighting in the home did not do it justice. This is not the kind of makeup you would wear to work or school under fluorescent lights but I can imagine she looked amazing in the lighting in a club.

First off...who told you blue eyeshadow and siren red lipstick go together? even if it is for a club!! she looks like a slut. she has relatively light coloring and that shade of lipstick is too dark...the eyeshadow MAY have worked if you wiped off half of it and if it was lighter and used with a liner. her skin looks better. you should have done a smoky eye with light gray eyeshadow or light brown shadow...

I think her make-up looks good. It provided nice and natural coverage of her blemishes in the before photos.
