Whoa, just because they beat Mexico, which is a pretty good team, does not mean they are going to win the world cup or any cup besides the gold cup. Right now, yes the US is better than Mexico. But, they need to start playing younger guys to get them experience.

If soccer was a National Sport in America, they would do well. It isnt. They rely on immigrants from Europe and South America, they are mostly players coming to the end of their careers, so you are always going to be up against it against the young bucks. No US will not win a world cup at any time in the near future.

The U.S. has alot of potential, but they showed alot of sloppiness against Mexico. I'm surprised the U.S. won. They better work on their possesion more, because they will be tested against some very difficult rivals. Their first Copa America match will be against none other than Argentina--the same team that schooled the French in a friendly recently. U.S. should recall all their best players from Europe, because they will need them.

the usa is definitely stronger than what it used to be. they need a few more years of international practice to be contenders like brazil is now. they are definitely on a good path since they're speed is quicker and have a higher quality of style on the field

whoa...slow down there high speed...don't crown them champs o anything just yet...they haven't proven they can compete at the highest level...beat Italy, Portugal or Germany on European soil and then we can talk a little bit.
