My due date is today. Nothing, but this is my first child. I haven't been dialted at all, my next doctors appointment is tomorrow though. This past weekend I walked every day and on Monday and Tuesday I lost my mucus plug and had period like braxton hicks for a long time... Nothing though. I walked for about 30 minutes today. What else works? Jumping jacks? I want to have this baby. Does it even matter if I walk or do stretches?

Not really...I was two weeks late, 4cm dialated with no plug and the finally had to break my water...

I walked, and ate spicy food and did all the crazy crap everyone tells you to do...the only thing that works is ....waiting.

It will happen when it's supposed or when your doctor breaks your water.

I walked, swam, and tryed raspberry leaf tea pills and I still had to have my labor induced. I did these things starting the day i was 37 weeks pregnant. I had my baby 3 days before my due date. The only reason the dr induced early was because i was having contractions less than a minute apart and I lived an hour from my hospital. Good luck.

Several things are said to help induce labor. The first is to have sex. Sex actually causes your body to release hormones which make your uterus contract and semen helps to soften your cervix. Nipple stimulation is supposed to help your uterus contract too. Walking and eating spicy foods or pineapple are the only other things I've heard of.

On sex thought I'd check with your doctor. I know your said you lost your mucus plug so make sure that sex will be alright.

Don't do anything crazy, you don't want to hurt yourself. I've had three kids and only the first one came on time. My other two were one and two weeks late. Just let it come when it's ready. That's part of the fun- the waiting! For now, just walk, that's the most effective and safest way to speed it along.

Walking and sex are the best things to do. I also did cleaning around the house. Best of luck to you and congrats :)
