What makes you think those are holy men? I agree that there is a lot of evil and ugly things out there. But there is also a lot of good and beauty in the world. I try to focus on those. As far as wars go I seem to recall that Stalin was responsible for the death of 10s of millions of people, probably more than any other single person including Hitler. And If I'm not mistaken he was an atheist. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples of wars started by atheist and atheistic governments if I cared to look for them. The point is it is not just Religion that people slaughter each other over. Though it is often used as an excuse.

First of all, Men are human and they have free will. I believe like Anne Frank, most people are good. We usually only hear about the bad ones. Over all I think most people try to be good. This free will thing leaves us open to lots of problems, war, starvation, cheating, molestation, etc. But, don't you think God is up in heaven crying right along with us? Still, we should have free will. Without free will we wouldn't be able to do all the good things humans do. God made us human. That's the main thing. We are human and humans have free will. That was the deal God made with us. By the way there are a lot of us "religious people" who appose war. Yes, you are right that those who appose war have been considered the bad guys, but that is not about God that is about politics and men. It really bothers me when men do bad things in the name of God. I bet it bothers God too. We each need to find our own spirituality. I found mine in Catholicism. I have problems with some of the things Catholics are taught, but that's ok and the way it should be. We should have our own ideas and beliefs. We are required to do what we morally think is right, even in the Catholic religion. Please don't Deny God because of men. Peace.

You bring up some valid points. Even as a Christian, I struggle with these arguments. However, here's my best attempt at answering them. . .

Organized religion is not organized by God. Rather it is organized by man, which means it is imperfect and full of sin and hypocrisy. Blame the human side, not God's side of things.

There is no answer as to why bad things happen to good people whether they live in the US or a 3rd world nation. Part of the problem is because we who are blessed don't do enough of what God calls us to do . . . feed the hungry, care for the sick and dying, and befriend the imprisoned and persecuted.

As for the whole war thing, I am completely opposed to war. Please don't make the mistake of believing all Christians are Southern Republicans with hunting rifles under our arms, cigarettes and Bibles in our hands. Well, okay, maybe the Bible part is true.:>)

all these HOLY MEN as you callously call them..are HUMAN BEINGS..they were born as much as you or I. Human beings are always going to be fighting off the natural man to improve their lives. That said, all human beings make mistakes and ALL human beings are to some extent or another, hypocrites. ALL HUMAN BEINGS ARE FLIP FLOPPERS....we all change our own belief systems to adapt with our beliefs and much of that based upon our decisions.

The reason one person lives for an hour, a year or 90 years is something decided by God and nobody will ever have the answer to this question.

God doesn't care about skin color so the reason someone is black or any other race is immaterial.

Wars were in the Bible, nothing will ever change on that front. People get prideful and decide to take power of others...the fact is this...

if Satan ruled the world, WE WOULD ALL BE FORCED TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND WE WOULD HAVE ZERO FREE AGENCY. IMAGINE BEING FORCED TO WORSHIP IN THIS CHURCH OR THAT AND KNOWING YOU HAVE NO CHOICE AS TO YOUR ACTIONS.

Because Christ's plan was chosen before we were born, we ALL have free agency to choose our actions...unfortunately...that free agency sometimes fall sinto the wrong hands and they make poor decisions that effect others.

God knew that while he would lose some of his children due to their poor choices, he also knew that those who would come back to his presence would be those who truly wanted to..

people's belief system does not make them bad or good people. they may not believe in God, but he never stopped believing in them.

organized religion (except for one) is organized, created and founded solely by men. There is ONE church that was created, organized and established by Christ, it is up to you to find out which one that was...there is only one way to do that..IF YOU CARE ENOUGH...and that is to pray to God to find out.

If an organized religion has not been established by Christ himself, then it is not of God. It MAY be restored through man....because restoration does nothing more than bring back the original faith after its initial establishment.

God doesn't NEED our justification or support..he has always existed and always will regardless of our support or justification.

Those who are in religious crusades use religion as a scapegoat for their own stupidity and poor choices.

Hmm...I ask myself this very question everyday. I hope you get a real answer because I'd like to know myself.

Maybe there isn't a God. Maybe God (and Gods) was an idea created by man to explain things he couldn't understand. If there is a God (and part of me believes there is) than every religion on this planet has it all wrong anyway.

These Holy men are the CEOs of the religious clan
They are there to rally the followers because the bigger the following the stronger the clan.
Look at all the money that is thrown at religion, books and literature makes billions. . . to the benefit of who. Look at the Vatican, the richest organization on earth.
Look at the Jihadies, their money just keep on flowing in and they just keep on burning it.

These holy men are the campaigners, the rally monkeys bringing in the flocks and the money.

God does not make bad things happen! Saten rules the world he is here to Kill Steal and Destroy, that is his job . People dont understand if our life was wonderful all the time we would feel like we dont need Jesus. He yearns for our love. God always works things out for us but he wants us to call on him. He wants to be acknowledged.

I'm an atheist and I couldn't agree more. Look at how many wars are happening around the world at the moment which were started by religion. All religions are cults, look up the meaning of cult in the dictionary!! They are all run by people who want to rule the world.
