90's fashion?

Hi. My partner and I are participating in a dance performance and the theme is Dance Through the Decades. We got the 90s. What should we wear to make it look like 90s? and not look like we are wearing old clothes? Hair and makeup tips? Shoes can't be any other than our dance shoes. Our dance is Samba. I know I lived in the 90s and I was fully grown up and concious at that time, but it is hard to say what was so distinct about it because it was like yesterday. Thanks.

stuff pretty similar to the 80s for the "fashion" side. but to make it easy you could do grunge. plaid shirts, oily hair, ugly clothes basically. also for ideas....think "friends"

for you:
Adidas Windpants - Light windpants. Made noises everytime you moved. Came in a bunch of colors with a white or black stripe down the side. Also had button down ones.
