Any animal with their skin exposed can get a suntan or sunburn. Check out this site it shows a hippo with a sunburn. http://www.meandmephoto.com/NewZoo/Hippo2.html

All animals tan in the sun. Their skin is just the same as ours. A dog's nose will tend to turn pink in the winter (lack of sun discolouration) and will go darker in the summer.

Animals that live near the equator tend to be more tolerant to changes in UV (as they are constantly exposed to warm weather and UV rays), but all animals with skin (yes, that includes the human animal) has generally a similar biological make up and thus will be affected by similar problems.

Some animals do sunning in the summer, but they don't try and get a tan. I don't believe their is another animal that gets a suntan other than humans. Not unless it is some weird animal that I have never heard of.

My dogs, a Jack Russell and a west highland terrier both get a tan every year, in fact they love sun bathing, the warmer the spot to lie in the better, every year their stomach skin turns really black, (they are both white haired)
And a Vet once precribed sun tan lotion for a white cat I had, to be put onto the tips of its years because they burnt in the sun.

People with white cats and dogs must becareful in the sun, they can get sun burns. And cancer like us. Now lizards can't get sunburned, I read that when we got our first iguana and were concerned about taking her out in the summer heat/sun.

Friend's elderly mom had a white cat that had sun burned ears, a year later it had skin cancer on the ears and lost them both.

Those little mexican hairless dogs have to be protected from the sun or they can get burned. I know someone who had 6 of them and had to dress them in baby vests in the summer sun! She spent a lot of time at Mothercare!

Being equivalent is defined in additional than a number of diverse thoughts and maximum individuals would outline this time period as one's psychological potential. what isn't taken under consideration notwithstanding is the actual undeniable reality that animals have many senses and understanding that people lack. Examples contain nighttime imaginative and prescient, superb sense of scent and potential to run tremendous quickly. even as one solutions this question with a sparkling, immediately "no" they're identifying that people are actual more beneficial efficient than animals because they're waiting to talk and reason. notwithstanding, if this were utilized to all questions of equality, a critically mentally retarded human or a human infant will be a lot less equivalent to a completely able individual. it truly isn't any longer honest and does no longer make sense. As a 17 twelve months old vegan, i think that it is taken under consideration necessary for people to keep in mind the certain information that animals have and understand that animals sense discomfort and amusement purely as people do. If possessing particular information and feeling were to outline equality then sure, animals and people will be equivalent. notwithstanding, this isn't the needed definition and obviously a human will be quick to save the demise infant previously the demise puppy. All i fairly advise is that "equality" will be defined in additional than a number of thoughts and your definition of this time period will locate the reply for you.

Many cold blooded animals such as lizards, for lack of a better example, enjoy sun bathing. I don't think they sun tan though.
