I need to purchase additional travel insurance to cover a pre-existing condition. I already have insurance for my trip but didn't get it in time and need to know if there is another insurance company that I can get. I purchased my air 1/24/07. My trip departs the USA to Europe on 5/17/2007. Please let me know if there is any insurance companies out there that I can add to my already purchased travel insurance. Or if I can just purchase a new policy.

Try the comparison site at Squaremouth. This site highlights all the carriers and products that provide pre-existing condition cover. If a product includes the cover, it states what date you must purchase insurance by in order to qualify.

I saw CSA mentioned below and my family always buys with them and as long as you purchase the insurance with Pre-Ex coverage by your final payment for your trip and you are eligble to travel at the time that you buy it.... they will give you the coverage. Trust me, get it by the final payment because we made the mistake of waiting until the last minute before and.. let's just say that something came up that we couldn't get covered.

There are a couple of plans that might apply but only if you haven't made your final payment yet. The plans offered by HTH and the Luxe plan offered by CSA will waive pre-existing medical conditions if you purchase your insurance on or before your final payment date.
