Hopefully you've got rhythm.
Practice together...you count the beats out loud...1,2,3-1,2,3 for her, doing the steps simultaneously. Have her count the beats too. She'll get it eventually, even if it's just following you.

practice doesn't make perfect. PERFECT PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT because if you are only practicing and goofing around she will just forget everything you just practiced. Also, tell her to learn the music and count how many sounds are in a beat because if it is a normal song than it will have 4 beats per min. therefore you have an 8 count dance but other times songs can have 3 beats per min. or 5.... so tell her to know her music get on beat and if she cant... SHOW HER UP.

you have to start her off with a basic step start with the feet and do something like on save the last dance and give her a rhythm to move to and then proceed with the upper body. always start at the bottom. Good luck it should work out soon

i agree with the teaching your partner to count beats start with whole notes and move on to half notes quarter etc etc n then get her to mix the counts up to a tune i.e whole, whole, quarter, quarter, half etc through to the end of the tune, they will gain some form of rhythm in no time

Before you worry about dancing with somebody, I suggest you brush up on your spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

try moving slower so she can catch on.. or put your own little twist onto the dance where she can keep up the rythm and not make you two look bad!!
