Unicorns
The Unicorn is one of the most mysterious of all animals. It has been glorified in folk tales, songs, poems, and stories for centuries; and it remains one of the great "unsolved mysteries" of the world. Despite the widely held belief in its existence, it has not been seen in centuries ; and the popular Eastern image from Chinese folklore is very different from the familiar Western image of a white horse-like creature. The only consistent fact is that a Unicorn has a single horn in the middle of its forehead.
For true believers, the fact that it no longer exists only adds to the mystique; placing it in the same realm as the dinosaurs, the mammoth, and possibly such unknown creatures as Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster. Others believe the Unicorn still exists in remote regions and can be discovered only by those of exceptional virtue and honesty.
In the meantime, we can marvel at its beauty and pay tribute to its unique place in the culture and history of the world.
Leprechauns
Leprechauns are about 3 feet tall and proportionately built (they're not dwarves). They dress plainly & carry two coins with them - one magick replenishing coin that will always return to the purse after it's spent, & one dummy coin that will turn into a rock once the leprechaun has given it away. Leprechauns are solitary, anti-social & hard-working - often found behind bushes or trees smoking pipes or making shoes.
In addition to cobblery, their other trade is "banking" because they're the only fairies who are thrifty. Leprechauns are the protectors of fairy treasure and they're responsible for keeping it safely hidden. Rainbows reveal where pots of gold are hidden, so leprechauns sometimes spend all day moving their crocks from one spot to another to allude the tell-tale end of the rainbow. If you capture a leprechaun, you shouldn't let him out of your grasp or your site before he reveals his gold. He'll try to distract you or use any ploy he can think of to get away. In the blink of an eye, the leprechaun can dash out of sight.
There is another side to leprechauns. In spite of their surly dispositions they can also be generous to those who do them good turns. They may repay a kind deed with a replenishing coin, some gold, or wishes.

Yes, unicorns exist, or have existed. Otter and Morning Glory G'Zell are known for (among other things) creating unicorns during the 1980s. They did this by moving the horn buds on a baby goat, so the goat would only have one, centrally located horn. Here's a page with pictures. Apparently they weren't the first people to get this idea.

I do not believe unicorns currently exist in our world. Whether or not they may have in the past, I am not sure. I also believe that unicorns could be created with genetic technology, but I don't think they'd have all the magical powers that mythology gives them.
As to leprechauns, I have no idea.

Santa exists. Leprechauns exist, Zeus exists, and unicorns exist. As for the so-observed as "god", nah, it would not exist. technology is proving that concept incorrect. certainly, none exist, yet all are greater achieveable to me than deities (yet Zeus became a cool one).
