That is a good gift!! I had the hardest time finding a diaper bag for my daughter who is 7 1/2 weeks...I wish someone would have given me one as a gift...I use the hospital one all the time now, and have one I bought...

that is a great gift; don't worry about how much it costs. when my co-worker had a baby shower, I bought a baby outfit, and a pair of bootie-rattles- rattles that baby can wear on her feet, and I spent about $20. It was all I could afford (with going to college and all). It's the thought that counts. :)

Was the diaper bag on the mom 2b's list, meaning was it something that she wanted? If yes.. GREAT GIFT. No, maybe you ought to see what shes registered for

As long as they don't already have one.. that would be perfect. if not then they have a back up. Not everyone in this world can afford the expensive stuff, so you did good. It is the thought that counts and some people often forget this.

That's a good gift.

Personally, I ended up using the free one they give you at the hospital more than the one I bought myself. You may want to include a gift receipt just in case.

Two Thumbs Up.

If you feel like you would have liked to do more:

Slip in a homemade coupon for an hour of in-house babysitting while new mama naps or a "I'll cook for you at your house during recovery."

It is a fine gift but if you can fill it with a few inexpensive baby items like powder and burp cloths and the like.

A diaper bag is a necessity. They should be thankful for it.
