I have two friends and a big decision to make. One of my friends is having a sweet sixteen and im pretty close with her and really like her. And this girl i met this year who is a year Older than me asked me to go to her prom. im not too close with her but our lockers are close and we talk a lot and shes the nicest person.

The sweet sixteen and prom are on the same day!!!
Personally i'd rather go to the sweet 16.

What would be the right thing to do? Please help me what would be virtuous and nice?

I would go to the Sweet 16, considering that you are closer to this girl, it would probably mean more to her.

i personally would have to say go with the sweet 16 party as you have been friends for a while and i am sure it would mean a lot to her and obviously you as ell other wise you wouldnt be asking for help.
the prom is a big thing for a girl so you need to make a choice soon she can find someone else before it is to late.
if you are meant to be with this girl that is going to the prom she will understand that you cant desert your friend and she will wait for you.
good luck but in the end follow your heart as it doesnt really matter wht we say it is all up to you.

Go to the sweet 16. Sounds like you guys are close, and if the other girl is as nice as you make it sound i'm sure she'll understand, and probably have no problem finding another date. Just explain what's going on and it'll all work out.

are you looking for a relationship with either of these girls?

if yes, and its the prom...your sweet sixteen friend will understand, especially her being female, unless she likes you then...ouch.

anyway, I'm sure you have heard bros before hoes...forget that.
I'm 27 and married with a son...my friends are great, but love and family comes first and they understand that...god I'm glad I'm out of high school
