That's probably because Valentine's Day gives off the message that you can't love someone unless you buy them gifts, which leaves some people to believe that they are unloved because no one buys them flowers or chocolates. Some people just seem to take their reaction to this a step further.

Actually I think it's either Thanksgiving or Christmas that has that honor, but I could be wrong.I know that's when I'm most depressed.Valentine's is just another day.
