Arsenal gained a penalty from this, but Anelka brought down the last man. That's a red card. Isn't it time that refs got regulated?

It obviously wasn't a goal scoring opportunity because none of the could hit the net from the penalty spot.
If refs got regulated shouldn't you regulate the players so if a striker has an open goal he must put the ball in the net or he gets sent off.
No player gets anything wrong only the ref.

as an official ref myself i can tell you, it is not a red card if you are the last man! i dont know why people think this to be law! you can only be sent off if you deny a goal scoring opportunity, either using hands or through a foul that would warrant a free kick/penalty.

but yh it was quite clearly a gso coz, and if foy was going to admit it was a foul it was obviously a sending off offence! there was no chance jaskelienen would of got there in time! ar well arsenal won anyway

Definetely a red, but you can't take anything away from Bolton, they played a good game and helped make the Arsenal,(sorry FA Cup), still one of the best competitions in the world. ps. Refs are regulated, just not very well.

I ignored the ceremony, yet I listened to, and laughed out loud at, his interview on WEEI between innings the different nighttime. even as outdoors the tricky lights of a federal prosecution in D.C., he will be beautiful and humorous. Will he get into the hall of recognition? No. become he an essential component of a team that made the playoffs 25 years in the past? sure. would I actual have made a celebration for a team that become eliminated 4 immediately in the ALCS? in all likelihood no longer, yet that is yet another question.
