Why is it that they still think that going into Iraq was a good even though there are no weapons of mass destruction, the people don't want us there, we weren't finished in Afghanistan, and there was actually less bloodshed on the streets of Baghdad before it was "Liberated?" Why can't they just man up and admit they made a mistake instead of going down with the ship like they did in the November elections?
Worst of all, why is it that whenever someone disagrees with their viewpoints, they call them communists, traitors, and cowards (like schoolchildren) instead of offering a rational counter-arguement supported by logic?

Don't be so naive. Saddam exported his weapons to Syria just before the war. Someday, they will declassify that intelligence report, just as they recently did with the Venona Report, which clearly showed that Joseph McCarthy was absolutely right about most of the people he accused of being Communist sympathizers. Our government had cracked the Soviet's code, so he knew everything about the relationship between the accused and the Soviet government before the trial even began.

In WWII, should we have said, "Oh gosh golly gee, we're not done fighting the Nazis, so let's allow the Japanese to get a deathgrip on the Far East." We are fighting a war on terrorism, and it knows no national boundaries.

Because of our efforts, the battle is being fought on their turf, not ours. However, if you will publish your address, maybe we can ask a few terrorists to drop by so they can personally thank you for your support in undermining our efforts. Maybe they'll give you some fancy, cerimonial headdress, and you can show up Monday morning at work and say, "Here I am, I'm Mr. Taliban Man". Do it with a Jamaican accent..... you'll knock 'em dead, big guy.

Oh, and the kicker is how you Liberals blame the U.S. for the mayhem in the streets of Baghdad. Did you ever think of blaming...... oh, I don't know, maybe......... THE TERRORISTS?

The Islama-fascist terrorists are defying the will of the people who wrote their own Constitution and elected their own leaders. The Islama-fascists are the Nazis of the new millennia.

Iraq is an infant democracy. As you know, infants scream and lash out because they don't understand the world around them. It is big, and strange, and perplexing. They get cranky and throw temper tantrums. Well, this is how the terrorists act. They are scared to death of democracy. They want the assurance of stability that a ruthless dictatorship (run by them, of course) supplies.

Tell the millions of Kurds that liberating them was a mistake. Tell all the people who were butchered by Saddam that taking him out was a mistake.

Liberals...... bless your little hearts, you just don't think things through, do you?

OK here is my logic...

1. WMDs.....we did not find them I see that...however...he had how long to move them....with the UN playing the do this or else card and then never getting to the or else part....Also, he has had them before, he even used them on people in his own country(that is why he was hung by the way) what is to say he couldn't do that again.

2. Iraqs don't want us there.....I have heard from people who have actually been there that a majority of Iraqs people are glad we came over and are glad saddam is gone. The bombs and things you see on the new...that is not insurgents trying to kill the US...that is Insurgents going after other iraqis....they want the power....the two main groups of Muslims don't want the other one to have power so they are making a lot of noise. And that is what we see.....there was a 10 min story about how hundreds of thousands of people came to vote in the first election there....and there is hours of this about the lates bomb...the media needs to cover more of the good things...

3. Why do people think we have left Afganistan....our troops are still there also. We haven't left.....SO quite using that argument

4. I will agree with the name calling....however Dems are just as bad in the other direction. Both Parties are guilty of that.

5. I have yet to see anything other plan other that "I don't like the Bush plan." from any Dem.....so when that happens I might listen but until then

It's the same thing with those who are anti-gun. They are never capable of every admitting that they are wrong and can never come up with any rational counter-arguments about why law abiding citizens cannot arm and protect themselves. Both sides of the Isle do this, it's just positioning to keep from looking weak, so they prefer to look tough and stupid instead.

I think what you have asked is reasonable, but as you can see the continual denial from the Republicans is way overwhelming. Smearing the Democrats has been their only defense, and as we all know that failed miserably last election. They still wont believe that America isn't on board with the non-sense anymore. Bush has admitted repeatedly he didn't have the intelligence to support the war. Scooter Libby is on trial right now over the lie, and it isn't going for well for the defense either.

I am going to give you the same question I gave to the guy taking the opposite side of the argument. I asked him to tell me what 'win' means in regard to Iraq, as in, what are we trying to accomplish there, and how do we know we are finished.

Your assignment is to tell me what the risks are in pulling out. Now I am quite willing to grant you Dubya is a freaking idiot, and it was a boneheaded move to invade. But we can't change the past, and we can only make changes in the present that effect the future.

So, we remove all troups by the end of March. What do you see as the results of that action? How does it effect the Middle East as a whole, and the people there that supported us? Gentle hint, 7,000 more of them just got the hell out. What does a real terrorist base in Iraq mean to us? Whether it was there before we went in is questionable, it isn't now, the damned thing is there. So how does that effect us?

You answer all that, you have your counterargument, with no namecalling needed. So once you identify the risks attendent with an immediat pullout, are those risks acceptable, or do we need to keep a continued presence there?

You Communist! Traitor and abettor of terrorists! Appeaser!
Ignorant probably isn't the right word, but I agree with you in principle. What needs to happen is some sort of referrendum on the President, and a plan for Iraq, be it withdrawal or an escalation with an objective. Personally, I'd rather see a rounding-up of the Imams that support and speak in favor of radical, jihaadist behavior.
BUt... that's not going to happen.

Ignorance, as they say, is bliss. The Republicans are blindly confident in the President's actions...because he is THEIR president. They support the war, because it is a Republican war.

Lets see how blissful they are when the Republicans are run out of the Oval Office...

It boils down to what they hear in their media, Rush, Shawn, faux news. ect. What worrys me most is they are putting their party affiliation ahead of what is right and good for America. This kind of thinking will bring down the American revolution and will only cause discourse among the American people. What will save us is the moderates to take control of government from both sides of the isle.

I'm a registered republican (Just because I hate liberals) I think we should pull out of Iraq. The republican party is selling out america and conservatives to globalists. Our troops should be on the boarder protecting US from illegal scumbags, not fighting in some war halfway across the world protecting ISRAEL. F*ck the neo-cons.

I welcome the debate on iraq, the wastefulness of trillions of dollars and the policy that has failed and continues to fail. But i can understand why some republicans get upset when it's brought up. Who wants to be reminded of all thier failures on the senate floor for all to see? True americans support an end to the war in iraq and a new strategy for fighting terrorism globally, not just in iraq.
