Okay, this isn't my personal opinion and I have no issues with people who are homosexual. When I use the term "gay" I'm not referring to a sexual preference, but to the issue of what typically seems masculine. Most commercial (mtv/BET) rappers talk about guns, drugs, rims, mall shopping and smoking weed and getting pu$$y. Since sterotypically pink is a color associated with girls and femininity, I was asking how come these overly masculine acting rappers that are so obsessed with wearing pink aren't looked at as femme or pseudo masculine? I'm not stating my opinion, just asking the question.

Why is everyone acting like they can't read what I put. I did say that I don't mean gay as in Homosexual-but using the term as people consider it in popular culture. Also, like I said before-it's not my opinion, but the question is aimed at making you think for yourselves about perception. This IS NOT ABOUT BEING HOMOSEXUAL!!! Please come down from your respective high horses and soap boxes and answer the question directly. I didn't say rappers who wear pink are gay-I'm asking you why aren't they thought of with a raised brow or questioned when they spit lyrics of guns and drugs, but they wear the colors fundamentally associated with women? I'm asking if you see a rapper wearing pink, and he's spitting about how hard he is...do you ever think to yourself...tough talk from a man wearing girly colors? Be honest-not political and just answer the question.

Theyre trying to prove that they are so manly they can even wear pink and still be a real man. I guess.

There are two ways to use the word gay...one being in reference to people who are homosexual...and the other implying happiness or joy. It is not a derogatory word for you to use as an insult to people who are not masculine. Try to see the connection here....when people say things like "that's gay" as a insult you are directly insulting anyone of the gay orientation. And if you are saying someone looks gay because pink isn't masculine...then you are implying that gay men aren't masculine...and that there is something wrong with that. "...being gay or worse?" What are you thinking???

If a man wants to wear pink...whether he is gay or not...LET HIM...judging a person by the color of their shirt is as ridiculous as judging someone on their orientation, race, or sex.

because pink is now the new color for guys to wear. some guys can pull it off while others can't. I think it's stupid that any other time guys have been afraid to wear pink for the suspect of being gay but now that its the thing to do they are doing it no matter what. I can't stand it when ppl do that. Just do stuff because other ppl are doing it. Come on ppl get your own life and wear what you want to wear without fear of what ppl will think and without having to have other ppl wearing the same thing that they are wearing or something along those lines...come on! Grow up!

First of all it doesn't really matter what people wear, life is not about what people wear. And why are you so worried about it, not trying to be mean or nothing but if you don't like it then don't watch it, if they like pink they like it and if they don't they don't. Oh and its not gay its usual for them. Just because you think its a girl color its not people like what ever color they want. Not trying to be mean or nothing Bye ; )

Honestly! I think you may be the one in with the problem. I bought my husband a very nice short and the primary color was blue, but there was a pink line in it.
I think because more heterosexual mean are wearing pink, that it is harder for society to identify who is gay and who is not

Where have you been?...pink is for the playas and pimps..has been that way since back in the days..60's or 70's...when dudes used to get their hair permed out, they got manicures and pedicures..has nothing to do with sexual perference..having sex with dudes makes you gay....cross dressing makes you a cross dresser...but if you have sex with women still...you're not gay...maybe confused but not gay...alot of you obviously had no uncles or grandfathers from Detroit, Chi Town, Memphis, Houston, or Harlem...are you would understand the pink and even purple fetish...pimps and playas would wear peacock colors to attract the females who worked factory jobs and turn them out...rent American Pimp

It's not the color of their clothes that bother me. I'd rather see them wear pink as pants hanging low down past their underwear.
