I purchased a new computer microphone today and was told by a friend that I could speak into it and it would translate it into a word document. Is this true and if so where can I find this software. Can I get it for free?

It's basically Microsoft Office. You must buy it. www.froogle.com has it, and you can put in a price range.
When you install the software, you must do the full installation. Then the language bar should be installed, and it will contain the microphone icon on it. Click on it and then click on dictation. This will only work when an Office product is opened. (eg: Microsoft Word, Excel.)

Hmmm I know of dragon naturally speaking but its not free.
