Revolt has hardly ever worked as one group throws out the privileged only to seek the same privileges for themselves, creating the same mess, or worse than the one they removed. It is time for a paradigm shift though for sure, as the vast majority of people in the world are being used like farm animals for the benefit of the few. There are many effective ways of accomplishing this, but, they require cooperation in the masses to do them. So far, though many are upset, they still don't get the big picture enough to work together. In this country, so many of these people voted for Bush, who represents those that would exploit them. When they stop falling for that seduction there will be more hope for cooperation.

Unfortunately, for the wealthy elite, the jig is never up. Even in brutal communist dictatorships that have exectuted their wealthy, a new upper class is formed. Revolutions don't really bring about societal change, they simply elevate new people to the top positions.

In the United States, there is a huge disparity in intelligence between the priviliged classes and the working classes. This is the wonderful thing about the United States: it is a meritocracy. The cream rises to the top and the chaff sinks to the bottom. This has been the case for at least the last 50 years, and the gene pool among the working classes has progressively become depleted. At this point in the evolution of US society, the working class no longer has the intellectual capacity to organize a revolt.

When the "working class" know what they're talking about. All this diatribe about how the wealthy are destroying the less so is really quite disgusting, because there is not nearly as big of a disparity as people like you would like to think there is. So not only do the "working class" need to learn what they want to say, they need to have a reason to say it.

By the way, the "working class" and "revolt" and "wealthy elite... Ever read Karl Marx? Furthermore, ever see where his policies led the Soviets?

a revolt wouldn't be needed... only an educated voting populous that made their feeling known to their Representative...

if the Representatives don't react, vote for those that will react... it's just that simple...

if the lower 50 percent of America was truly educated and actually paid attention to what is going on in the world and what their Representatives were actually doing... MUCH would change...

that wouldn't exactly mean a socialist revolution, but it would mean that changes would be made to help the working class...

the median income is around $24,000 according to the census...so that's 50 percent that make that or under that... that's the majority...

imagine if they all voted

Well for starters, when the working class go back to college, get degrees, become managers, and then get promoted to running a division or an entire company, maybe THEN they will get what they think they deserve. Until then, what is it that you think a 35 year old guy with a high school degree and limited job skills honestly deserves?

Have you so soon forgotten the wealthy elite are the philanthropists that provide a lot of medical and hospital support for the community. as well as work for many . Their Foundations provide help as well. Look up the Philanthropist on one of the search engines. Are your accomplishments doing anything for the working people?
