The itunes software that it comes with can extract the songs from your CDs. Should be no problem. Actually, just about any decent mp3 player comes with similar software, so you shouldn't have to worry about that even if you decide on a different kind than the ipod.

1. Insert Music CD.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Copy from CD to iTunes.
4. Plugin iPod.
5. Sync.
6. Unplug iPod.

You have to first upload your songs from your CD to your computer, then put them in Itunes, and then you can put them on your ipod.

yea u can. all u do is rip the songs on ur cd to ur itunes using the itunes rip feature, then connect the ipod and uve got it.

I am sure there are instructions or you can talk to the sales associate for help. Just burn your cds on the computer.

ez get itunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/, put cd in computer, import cd, once u have ur ipod plugged in u select playlists from ur library. once u get ur ipod and itunes it will b very ez trust me
