Dear Republicans Are Scumbags,
Because of there rhetorical excesses. The vast majority of Americans are NOT anti-war and most of the troops do NOT disagree with the handling of the war. Get a grip and read some facts! Do not confuse American sentiments with global ones which are often anti-American.

It's not anti-war that's anti-American. You are oversimplifying the objections. Also it's a leap in judgment to say that people who disagree with the handling of the war are anti-war. I believe we have fought this war too half-assed and trying to placate media hype about tolerance and sensitivity have handcuffed our mission - that doesn't make me anti-war. Even if I opposed the war, I could make sure that I didn't take actions that emboldened our enemy - that wouldn't make me anti-American

i fairly imagine you're blended up . . . that is the liberals which have a in good structure over each and every "offense." Did you listen about the newborn charged with a "hate crime" because he grow to be a jerk and placed a bagged ham sandwich in sight of Muslims? How about the instructor that grow to be requested to go away because he grow to be arming his scholars with this concept: "If some sane citizen at VT had a gun, perhaps Cho would were stopped in the previous the type of marvelous number of were killed." Imus is out of a interest (don't like him, do not say I do) because he suggested some thing "unpalatable." PBS gained't run courses with a "actual" slant. at the same time as someone says "affirmative action is an insult to a race of persons," that someone is termed a racist. similar at the same time as immigration is at issue. If I say, people all have an similar rights, that "particular" rights (like gay-rights) are not any further needed. Then i'm homophobic. MSM is done of Liberals pushing the get mutually line. WE "cons" are not any further the concept police. you've made me giggle.

You have it backwards. Why do so many anti American people claim they are anti war? Thre is an enormous difference between being critical of the way the war has been handled & wanting the US to lose. Most of those who say they are anti war are in the 2nd catagory & are therefore anti American.

Calling someone anti American because they disagree with you is the last resort for someone who has nothing else to offer. They do it because they can't argue with the facts.

Bush lied us into this war and has mishandled it all along the way. Bush has fired all of the generals and diplomats who gave him advice he didn't want to follow. These are the facts. GET OUT OF IRAQ NOW. Get Bush out of the White House before he attacks Iran.

The majority of Americans are not anti-war; the majority are anti-Iraq war and anti-Bush.

Because Conservatives think that anyone against the war is against America. They are incapable of separating the two. It's an over-used, worn-out cliché. What the Cons cannot seem to grasp is the fundamental concept of democracy, which encourages, in fact demands political discourse. We have a patriotic responsibility to question our leaders. And when they screw up, it's our job as citizens to set them straight. We did exactly that in November of 2006, but the Cons cannot accept this.

It's an easy black-and-white determination of character. It's sort of like saying "if you're not with us you're with the terrorists!" That would mean we should nuke people around the world for being terrorist collaborators. Either way, people like to use the fear of another anti-military sentiment spreading sort of like during Vietnam and justify their preconceived notions of patriotism based on supporting the administration. In third world countries you get arrested instead of insulted.

It basically is what they are told by their media, they do not bother to check out any credible source, they will not respect my decision to oppose the war on moral values. So they are stuck with the Rush Limbaugh/ Shawn Hanity version.

They don't really believe that.

That is a ploy used to force ppl into following along with Bush and to make them afraid to oppose him... keep them from questioning leadership.
