To be honest valentines day is honoring saint valentine who was executed because he was marrying couples in secret.. rather than being torn apart by the male going off to war. The king Claudio prohibited this and therefore he went to kill him. But before he was executed in his jail cell he wrote a love letter to the woman he ever loved. He signed the letter ....from you valentine. Valentine was executed on February 14. That women was the daughter of the king. The daughter found the letter and was greatly moved by it. The ending of the letter fit so well together and those words together sounded very romantic. So from then on every February 14 people would remember him and all the good he did by using the phrases like "from your valentine, will you be valentine, etc." Also valentines day is about showing your feeling for the person you love and showing the people around you that you care about them. That's wat Valentine's Day is about.

NO way it's about people u love and its a speacial occasion if u have a bf or gf like i have a gf i have to go soonn im taking her out on a date and im only 14 lol but ya the candy is just a present to show the person u give it to that u love them or care about them very much and u forgot to ask about flowers.Chocolate is a good thing to give to ur specail someone if u want them to love u but stilll its not all about the candy. and hopefully if u give ur special someone candy and flowers they might make out with u but most of us wont be having sex for that

No - actually, Easter is all about candy. Valentine's day is all about unrealistic expectations and horrible pressure on couples to create a spectacular, unforgettable evening of romance.
I wish Valentine's day would focus more on friendship. I like to send Valentines to my single friends. And I like a simple dinner out with my boyfriend.

My husband surprised me with chocolates....even after we said no gifts!!
