It is a great way to spend money, but people can decide for themselves what they are going to spend. Like my brother and his wife, next to no money, so they agreed that their love is enough!!!

Yeah I hate it! It's just as bad as Easter now... Does anyone remember a time when it WASN'T such a bad thing to not get anything for Valentine's day? And if you MUST get a present for Valentine's, why should it be any bigger or better than last year's present? Surely a box of chocolates or a bunch of flowers is a nice enough thought?

I don't hate it, but i'm disliking it today. My boy'f didn't really make an effort. I don't mean flowers and a meal and the big card.
I would be happy with just me and him and a movie...any movie even if it's crap. I just wanted to spend some time with him.

It's always been commercialised. Best cure make your own card!!!

Yes it has turned commercialised now. It is just another day to me, but I do think its nice for people who are so in love, that they go that extra mile to prove it. It doesn't have to cost alot either.

I hate it because I always try to ignore this commercial mess but end up in the doghouse for my efforts. Since we dont have a dog, it is lonely out there. Think I'll move into the garage.

It's just a day of friendship and love. Society has turned this into a race for your money and how much you can spend to show your love or devotion to your loved one.

What's kind of worse than Valentine's Day is the fact that a lot of people actually need it to remember to tell their significant other how much they mean to them. My husband wrote me a letter this Feb. 14th to tell me what I mean to him and the reasons he loves me. One cent and a little bit of time and 2 dozen flowers couldn't have made me cry...
